Pernyataan Masalah / Isu:

The Malaysian Immigration denies visas to divorced foreign parents even with joint custody of their
children to remain in Malaysia. They are asked to return to their home countries, which denies
them visitations and co-parenting of their Malaysian children.

Nilai dan Kepercayaan:

In the best interest of the child, to facilitate co-parenting and visitations, the foreign parent should
be granted Long Term Visas with employment rights to enable them to support their Malaysian
children.

Cadangan Penyelesaian dan Seruan Tindakan:

To minimize the psychological and emotional impact of the divorce on the children. The foreign
parent should be able to obtain a Residence Pass with the right to employment to enable financial
support, visitation and co-parenting of the Malaysian child.
